Yes, but we recommend letting the grill cool for 5-10 minutes after cooking first. Warm grates clean fastest (grease hasn't hardened yet), while scorching hot grates can shorten the life of the bristles. Most people clean after the grill cools down anyway - you'll get the deepest clean and the longest-lasting brush.
